Ponmudi

Ponmudi, a magnificent hill station is located around 60 km from Thiruvananthapuram city. Blessed with the persistent pleasant climate irrespective of the seasons, the Ponmudi hill station features a variety of flora and fauna around the localities. Ponmudi, which means Golden Peak, is part the Western Ghats mountain range. The hills are alive with tea gardens and a wide range of flora and fauna. It is a wonderful trekking and hiking spot. Meenmutty falls, Golden Valley and a number of other rivulets are other attractions near Ponmudi. The place is a veritable sanctuary of rich tropical vegetation.
